Tall sunflowers have a simple beauty that is unsurpassed. It is simple to grow plants to a height of 4m (12ft), or higher, with a little care and feeding. Quick growing, with a strong sturdy stem, these sunflowers grow huge 40cm flower heads. Sow indoors from March to May or sow outdoors in April or May with 60cm spacing between each plant. Flowers from July to October. The plants, which are adored by both kids and adults, grow quickly. In Autumn, the gorgeous seed heads are wonderful for providing wild birds with a treat. If dried and stored correctly, they make a delicious treat for people too!
