Suttons Seeds Sweet Pea – Distant Horizons

A blend of selfs and bicolours, striped and flaked, including early, mid and late-flowering varieties to provide summer-long colour. Flowers June-September. Height 1.5-2m. Supplied in a super-sized pack of 50 seeds to ensure you get the widest range possible.

 

For early flowering sow 3 seeds 13mm deep per 10cm pot in a greenhouse, or indoors at approximately 13-15 degrees celsius. Germination 10-21 days. Acclimatise the plants to outside conditions and plant out in April-May spacing them 15cm apart.

 

Alternatively, sow direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed-free soil where the plants are to flower 13mm deep, in late April-May. Thin seedlings to achieve a final spacing of 15cm between plants. Remove growing tips after 3-4 pairs of leaves have developed to promote more flowers and a bushier plant.

 

May also be sown in September-October in a cold frame/unheated greenhouse to over-winter. Plant out young plants in March-April to provide earliest blooms.
