This main crop variety has beautiful strong red skin both inside and out.

 

This deliciously flavoured onion produces a uniform round shape with thin necks. These seeds show particularly good tolerance to mildew.

 

Sow from March-April outdoors and thin early. For larger onions, be sure to sow in December-January and transplant the seedlings in the spring.

 

For storage, lift and allow to dry in the sun and hang in ropes in cool conditions.

 

These onions need a well-drained sunny site.

Companion Plants include carrots, lettuce, beetroot, and leeks. Do not plant with beans, asparagus, and peas.
